The Paths and Nature Group were out this afternoon to follow up on the excellent work by PKC Ranger, Innes. A fence was installed by Innes at short notice to protect walkers and their pets. Part of the Tay riverbank had collapsed when a beech tree was toppled by the wind. This caused a hidden hazard - an unseen overhang.

The section of path involved is downstream of the sewage treatment works. The section is currently signed as a dead end, due to the fishing hut renovations. (The original loop is due to reopen soon.)

Before (photo credit CB), during and after. The Paths & Nature Action Group were able to follow up and transplant a strip of woodrush to maintain a usable width of path. The ground will need some trampling in but should soon firm up with use.

Paths and Nature Action are a group of local volunteers for whom the Trust provide a banking presence and official status to enable funding applications.
