The Community Trust
Partner Groups

Core themes were identified in the Community Action Plan. These strategic themes include, 'Safe and active travel', 'Environment and a greener future', 'Housing for all', 'Community and culture', 'Connectivity, accessibility and care' and finally a 'Thriving local economy'. The Trust is working in partnership with groups across these themes - click on the images below to find out more.

Community Led Housing

We are working to address the recognised lack of affordable housing in the local community.

The Care Group

The Care Group came out of the PH8 Community Action Plan which clearly identified Care provision in PH8 as an area of concern. The Group report to the Community Trust through minutes of meetings and through the Project Coordinator for the Trust, Eilidh Wild, who attends meetings of the Group.

Artisan Village

Our aim is to create affordable workshop facilities for creative businesses based in Dunkeld & Birnam, including a community workshop space. We aim to promote and highlight the amazing skills of our local artisans and makers.

Paths & Nature Group

We are a group of people who want to help maintain paths, and to improve habitats
and the understanding of nature and wildlife. The Group came out of the
Community Action Plan that identified our outstanding local environment as one of
the main attractions of the area to residents and visitors.

Energy Group

Community consultations through the Community Action Plan, Local Place Plan and Climate Café discussions have identified community energy as a priority. In response, a local community energy group has been set up in partnership with the Trust.
